On November 2nd 2018 PT Bumanik perfromed its Corporate Social Responsiblility (CSR) by giving schoolbags to students from chosen schools in Morowali with over 586 schoolbags were distributed. Among the recipients are SDN Impres Molores, SMP Al-Amien Solonsa, and SDN Desa Keuno which are located within Bumanik’s mining area from which the basis of school selection came.
Mr. Laode Muhammad Ichsan or famously known as Mr. Tjoi said, “We hope the students will be even more enthusiastic at school after receiving this gift. We fully realize that these students are of utmost importance for the growth of Morowali.”
Mr. Tjoi, who is Bumanik’s External Relation Superintendent, was accompanied by Ms. Asteria Lestari as Head of HRGA & Administration, Mrs. Irnawati Hamade as Community Development Officer, and Mr. Sutrisno Sembiring as Bumanik’s Person in Charge in Palu. They were greeted with enthusiasm from the students and the teachers.
“Education is the backbone of this country that serves the foundation for its future.” As stated by Ms. Asteria. She continued to add, ”Of course there is no better place to start planting the seeds for the future than school, and only by that could we finally reap what we sow.”
“The students are the seeds while Bumanik are just helping Morowali water them.” As emphasized by Mr. Sembiring who drove all the way down from the crestfallen city of Palu to attend this event. “And the bags are the symbol of trust that we have bestowed upon the students of Morowali, and we hope they could carry it with pride and spirit on their shoulders.”
This is the second time Bumanik fulfilled its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) after last year facilitating the logistic needs of students of elementary schools in Morowali by distributing clothes. In the future, Bumanik will strive to lay down a marker for the foundation of Morowali’s education that is hoped will last for generations to come.
