Bumanik as the holder of the “Izin Pinjam Pakai Kawasan Hutan” (IPPKH) for nickel ore mining production operations in Kab. Morowali Utara, has carried out one of his obligations as an IPPKH holder. One of these activities is carrying out planting activities in the context of “Rehabilitasi Daerah Aliran Sungai” (Watershed Rehabilitation) in accordance with Regulations Ministry of Forestry.

The implementation of this activity stage was carried out after Bumanik received a Decree on the determination of the planting location from the Minister of the Environment, with a determination of an area of 1,176 hectares, with details as follows.

Steps of Implementation

The steps of implementing the Watershed Rehabilitation are as follows.
1st year: Planting and seeding
2nd year: Preservation
3rd year: Preservation
4th year: Assessment (Before being submitted to the Government)

Thank you to CV. Moringa Tebar Mandiri (CV. MTM) for supporting Bumanik in implementing Watershed Rehabilitation. For the first year in 2021 and socialization in March 2021, the plan for allocation of nursery activities is carried out in 3 Kabupaten, Donggala, Toli-Toli, and Sigi. For Kab. Morowali Utara, it will be carried out in 2022.

The types of plants that are carried out by nurseries at each planting location are based on the requests of residents of each area during the socialization. In addition to rehabilitating critical areas of forest areas, it is also hoped that it can provide added economic value to local residents by utilizing the results from nurseries. So in the implementation of nursery activities, planting, and care are carried out in a “Padat Karya” manner, so as to improve the economic level of local residents.
